Welcome, you are in birthplace of the painter Jose Aguiar, the best twentieth-century Spanish muralist. Recently renovated, wall paintings of the famous artists are preserved inside. There are also exhibitions of other art expressions and workshops.
The municipality of Agulo is located in northern La Gomera. It has been described as ‘spectacular’, ‘peaceful’ and ‘friendly’ due to the grandeur of its landscapes, its tranquillity and the open nature of its inhabitants.
The imposing El Risco, the peaceful streets of its historic centre, the valleys and ravines conquered by uncountable stone walls; the green tones of its woods and the majestic blue of the Atlantic ocean, give it a uniqueness that calls for exploration.
