LAS ROSAS DAM
This valley is one of the river basins of Agulo’s mid-altitude area. It has the largest hydraulic infrastructure on the island, the Amalahuigue dam, which was named for the king of the island in 1438. This dam, with a capacity of 930,000 m3, was inaugurated in 1983. It is a good place to visit to see specimens of garza real (Ardea cinerea Linnaeus) and contains a stable population of fochas (Fulica atra Linnaeus). The wáter contains large carp and a colourful group of geese and ducks
