THE URBAN ROUTE OF AGULO
Following the main street of Agulo, the old royal road, this route travels to La Montañeta, Las Casas and El Charco, revealing different the different traits of what was known as El Bombón de La Gomera.
It starts at the intersection between the GM-1 road and Calle Alameda. There are plaques and information tables that describe the evolution of the village, the architectural styles, the crops, fiestas and old traditions.
Living in a municipality like Agulo marks the character of its people. Adapting to the surroundings, the limited resources and a respect for nature are some of the characteristics inherited from the generations that came before. Today’s population has assimilated modern aspects, but adapted to the reality of the territory; along with hospitality toward visitors, to whom we proudly offer our history, in a setting in which time seems to have stopped.
