CIRCULAR ROUTE BETWEEN JUEGO DE BOLAS AND EL MIRADOR DE ABRANTE
The itinerary starts at Camino del Roquillo, which is marked as GR-132, until it intersects with El Embocadero. From there it continues toward Abrante and after it passes by the lookout point it snakes down to the intersection with Camino de Los Pasos. If we continue toward Agulo, in about 200 metres we can look out from the summit of El Risco and enjoy some beautiful panoramic views.
After returning to the prior intersection, the circular route continues toward the La Palmita dam. After passing Las Casas del Chorro, it continues along the bottom of the ravine along the Las Eras path for 1 kilometre until reaching El Ancón de la Jarrapa. Here it ascends the slope toward the northwest over a paved path that joins a zigzagging trail that goes directly to the Juego de Bolas Vistors Centre.
The old Abrante lookout point was a simple stone and cement wall. On January 2, 2013, the current infrastructure was inaugurated, with modern facilities designed to contemplate the village centre of Agulo and with excellent panoramas of the island of Tenerife. Its main attraction is a seven-metre cantilever with glass floor and walls, which allows visitors to take a walk suspended over the ravine. It also has a café with a varied menu, including typical island dishes and wines.
